 We try to get the good 2 star hotels for each night of the trip and prefer to go with a family based establishments. However in some locations accomodation is not readily available and we book accomodation that best fits our planned ride length. This can mean that we go with 3 star (our preference when 2 star is not available) or other accommodation as available.
